Sony Entertainment Television Asia has confirmed that it will be launching a children’s version of hit show ‘Indian Idol’ later this year.
The channel has already announced auditions for the popular reality TV via its website here. Participants can take part my attending the auditions in person, uploading a video through its website or official mobile app, Sony LIV.
At this stage, other details of the show are not available. However, Vishal Shekhar will be one of the judges on the panel for this series, he recently shot the promo of the shoot and tweeted, “Shooting with 300 kids for the ‘Indian Idol Kids’ promo. They’re super-energetic for an early Sunday morning! Meanwhile, I’m asleep on my feet.”
‘Indian Idol Junior’ is expected to launch in April/May in the weekend slot to fill the gap left vacant by ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.
