Sony Entertainment Television Asia has added optional digital English subtitles to most of its fictional shows.

It۪s the first time Sony TV has launched this facility, which will let viewers decide if they would like to watch the programmes with or without subtitles.

Sony TV’s sister channel, Sony SAB TV recently has also launched the facility and is expected to be rolled out on Sony MAX too in the coming weeks.

Sony TV is the latest channel to add optional subtitles to its output, which ZEE TV launched first a few years ago, followed by Colors.

Channels like Star TV and Sahara One use the old-fashioned embedded subtitles facility.
