Sony SAB TV halts the launch of new series ‘Dhruv Tara’ due to NTO 3.0 spat
The launch of ‘Dhruv Tara’ has been stalled by Sony SAB TV due to a tussle between broadcasters and cable operators over a looming price hike (NTO 3.0) for TV channel packages.
‘Dhruv Tara’, which was expected to launch on Monday 20th February, has been postponed indefinitely.
Cable operators have rejected the price increase, which was due to be implemented on 1st March. In return, broadcasters have pulled their services from platforms that will not be complying with the new rates.
