Sony Pictures Television UK channels sold to Narrative Capital

Sony Pictures Television’s UK portfolio of channels have been sold to US investment firm, Narrative Capital.

Variety reports that the deal includes Sony Movies, Sony Movies Action, Sony Movies Classic, Sony Channel, POP, Tiny POP and POP Max, as well as the brands’ various digital assets.

The channels will be rebranded with a new look on 25th May. However, popular content such as ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’, ‘Care Bears’ and ‘Blade Runner 2049’ will continue to broadcast on the new channels under a licencing and distribution deal.

Sony’s popular Indian TV channels remain unaffected.
