Sonu Sood “trying to choose roles which are not very common…”

SonuSood

Sonu Sood has, of late, become a heart-throb of sorts. He was appreciated in ‘Dabangg’ (2010) as Chhedi Singh and also shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan in 2011’s ‘Bbuddah… Hoga Tera Baap’. Sood’s forthcoming films, ‘Shootout at Wadala’ and ‘Maximum’, willinclude some real-life characters.

“I always hunt for scripts that excite me as an actor, whether it’s on real life or an action packed one… I’m trying to choose the roles which are not very common…” says Sood. According to the Times of India, the actor is more inclined towards a serious role and next two films prove this very point. When asked about whether it’s becoming a trend to make real-life stories, Sood continues, “I won’t say it’s a trend, but when you research about a real life incident and turn it into a film, it becomes very exciting…”

Sood is undertaking the role of Dawood Ibrahim in ‘Shootout at Wadala’, putting to rest rumours that Vivek Oberoi had been signed.
