“Sonam Kapoor has been a great support system” says Dhanush

National Award winning actor, Dhanush, is filled with praise��for his first Bollywood co-star, Sonam Kapoor. ��The duo had worked together in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Raanjhanaa’ (2013) and Dhanush, who balances his career in Bollywood with work in the South Indian film industry, says that they are still in touch whenever he is in��Mumbai.

“The other day I wanted to meet Sonam for dinner but she wrapped up late. ��The next day we made a plan to meet again but that evening I wrapped up late… But we’re constantly in touch. ��She’s so sweet. ��Whenever she gets to know that I’m in Mumbai, she sends me��ghar ka khaana (homemade food). ��I have to say that she’s been a great support system,” Dhanush told��Filmfare.

The actor also went on to fondly remember the experience of working with Kapoor in ‘Raanjhaana’, saying, “She could’ve easily thrown her weight around but she was kind to me. ��She took care of me. ��During press meets when it was said I was not star material, she’d get up and argue with them in my defence. ��I’m thankful to her.”

Dhanush was last seen in R Balki’s ‘Shamitabh’ (2015) and will soon begin work on Aanand L Rai’s next, which in the director’s words is “an epic love saga”. ��It is not yet known if Sonam Kapoor will reunite with her ‘Raanjhanaa’ team for their next project.
