Sonam Kapoor confirms signing Barjatya’s next

Sonam Kapoor has always been known for her style. The actress, who is currently busy with promotions of the forthcoming ‘Bewakoofiyaan’, has finally confirmed that she has signed Sooraj Barjatya’s next opposite Salman Khan.

According to Indicine, a statement by Kapoor said, “I was in negotiations with Sooraji for the last four months. We�۪ve finally worked out all the modalities. And, yes I am doing the film. I�۪ll be getting into the film as soon as I finish shooting Arbaaz Khan�۪s Dolly Ki Doli”.

Talking about her excitement about the film, Kapoor went on to say, “���I�۪ve grown up watching Sooraji�۪s films. To be actually working in his film is a very exciting prospect for me. It�۪s double exciting as I�۪ll get to star with Salman Khan for the second time (after Saawariya)”.

Deepika Padukone was reportedly favourite for the project but had to decline the film due to date issues. Kapoor and Khan will be seen for the first time together as leads and no doubt this fresh pairing will give Barjatya’s family-oriented stamp a much-needed overhaul.
