Sonam Kapoor buys the rights of ‘Battle For Bittora’

Anyone who thought Sonam Kapoor was the average star-daughter who looks to her father Anil Kapoor for everything will be struck by the news that she has bought the rights of ‘Battle For Bittora’. She emphasised that it was not something her father had done.

“”I�۪ve bought the rights to the book with my own money. My father will produce it, but I have spent a lot of money,” said Kapoor, according to Hindustan Times. The film is a political drama which will be produced by her father but will star her.

Kapoor continued, “It was supposed to be made with me on two occasions in the past, but for some strange reason, that never happened. Whoever planned to make the film wanted to cast me in it, but the film never took off. So I thought, ��As no one is making the film and it�۪s such a nice story, let me buy the rights.�۪ So now, we are making the film and it�۪s a lovely story”.

The actors in the running for male lead are Imran Khan, Sidharth Malhotra and Aditya Roy Kapur.
