Being the daughter of veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and sister of superstar Saif Ali Khan, one would think you’d be straining to become as successful in Bollywood as possible. However, Soha Ali Khan feels very differently about what success is.
Debuting in 2004 with ‘Dil Maange More’, Khan has always been rather selective about her roles. NDTVreport Khan stating,”I understand that it has almost been eight years in the industry and that it is competitive and important to be visible and to work constantly. But I have never felt these pressures. I think it is important to do good work and last longer than to do lot of work and burn out quickly.”
Despite not having a long list of films to her name, Khan’s decisions have proved she’s definitely on the ball when signing on films. With the likes of ‘Rang De Basanti’ (2006) doing extremely well at the box office, and receiving critical acclaim for her performance in ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’ (2007) she has been able to establish herself as an individual rather that a superstar’s relative. Khan will next be seen opposite Arshad Waris in a comedy titled ‘Jo B Cravallo’.
