SLB’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ to star Katrina-Deepika?

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ seems to have been jinxed from the moment he expressed a desire to put it on celluloid. With many changes to the cast of the last 14 years, it seems the project is now back on what with Eros International being ready to produce and that too with Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif almost confirmed for the two female roles.

According to Mumbai Mirror, a source has revealed, “After��Ram Leela��releases in October 2013, Bhansali will start with the pre production of��Bajirao Mastani. He will begin shooting in April 2014. Eros and Bhansali have had a fabulous working relationship during��Ram Leela. Their collaboration on��Bajirao Mastani��will strengthen their association”.

The film is based on Peshwa Bajirao and the love triangle of his life between himself, his wife and his love. A source spoke about the casting, “Apparently, Bhansali has had a word with both Deepika and Katrina. The girls have shown tremendous interest”.

It is thought that a lead actor is yet to be confirmed but inevitably one that would fit perfectly in the setting is, of course, Ranbir Kapoor. Keep with BizAsia for more.
