Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya booked for alleged assault on woman

Abhijeet Bhattacharya is a celebrity who is known for his outspoken nature. However, reports suggest that he has been booked by police in Mumbai for misbehaving with a woman at a recent event.

The event in place was last night and Bhattacharya was present as an organiser. The lady in question was someone invited to attend. ���While the programme was going on, a woman stood up in between (the rows of the audience) that blocked the view of stage for the people sitting behind. People started shouting at her and when she did not listen, Abhijeet himself initiated to make her sit down,” Senior Inspector of Oshiwara police station, Subhash Khanvilkar, said.

He added, ���While trying to move away the victim from where she stood up, Abhijeet allegedly touched and caught her inappropriately�۝.

The police are currently investigating the matter after the victim filed an official complaint.
