The film industry is undoubtedly a very competitive place and actor’s do not often make friends very easily with colleagues. Sidharth Malhotra has recently gone on record to admit that whilst the newer generation does bondwell with each other, he only has two “concrete relationships” in the industry.

In an interview withFilmfare,Malhotra said, “I do believe I don’t have concrete relationships in the industry barring with Karan (Johar) and Akshay (Kumar) Sir. It will take me time to develop those relationships. Though, our younger lot is closely knit. We meet when say Varun Dhawan throws the success party for ‘ABCD 2’ or Parineeti Chopra buys a house, or Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have birthday parties. We’re far more bonded than the other generation.”

While Malhotra’s bond with Karan Johar goes back to his days as an assistant director on Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan’ (2010) and of course then being launched as a leading actor by Johar with ‘Student Of The Year’ (2012), the young star also bonded very well with Akshay Kumar on the sets of ‘Brothers’ (2015).

Speaking further about his relationship with Kumar, Malhotra added, “I believe he connected with ‘the outsider’, the Punjabi me and the fact that I was into fitness… Ours turned into a special relationship.”
