Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri confirmed for ‘Dhadak 2’
After weeks of speculation, it has been officially confirmed that Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri will star in ‘Dhadak 2’. Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions announced the exciting news on social media, confirming the sequel to the 2018 release ‘Dhadak’, which originally featured Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar.
‘Dhadak 2’ will be directed by debutante Shazia Iqbal and is slated for a theatrical release on 22nd November 2024. The film promises to follow a similar captivating narrative, exploring the complexities and challenges faced by lovers from different caste and class backgrounds.
The original ‘Dhadak’, an adaptation of the Marathi hit ‘Sairat’, was well-received for its poignant portrayal of young love and the societal barriers that come with it. With Chaturvedi and Dimri in the lead roles, expectations are high for the sequel to deliver an equally compelling and emotionally resonant story.
