The late Gulshan Kumar, was renowned for producing many popular devotional songs back in the early to mid 90’s, before he sadly passed away. But his legacy will be continued by his son Bhushan Kumar, who has successfully released tracks such as ‘Gajanan’ (for Ganpati) and ‘Maiya Teri Jai Jaikaar’ (for Mata Rani).

Reported in The Times of India, Bhushan has released a special track today called “‘Dhaak Baja Kanshor Baja’, as part of the Navratri Durga Puja, which allows one to immerse themselves in bhakti but at the same time bringing it up-to-date offering celebratory vibes, which caters for the younger audience. For vocalists he has none other than the singing sensation Shreya Ghoshal. The song has been writtenby Priyo Chatterjee andcomposed by Jeet Gannguli.

Gannguli who has produced Bollywood songs mainly, feels blessed to have been able to work on these tracks.”They will always be priceless for me. ‘Dhaak Baja Kanshor Baja’s’ orchestration is amazing. Dhaak and kanshor are considered shubho (auspicious), so we have used these words to express devotion. This is Shreya’s first non-film solo for Maa Durga. She has a melodious voice and has done complete justice to the song,” said Gannguli.
