Shraddha Kapoor takes inspiration from dad Shakti Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor, who forayed into Bollywood with Punit Malhotra۪s directorial ‘Luv Ka The End’ (2011), says that her father, Shakti Kapoor, is her motivation.

“Apart from dance trainers, I thought of my dad (Shakti Kapoor) while dancing in ABCD 2. My dad always says that when you dance you have to have a lot of energy. It has to be in your bones. You have to literally break the ground,” the actress told DNA.

She further applauded director Remo D۪Souza and Prabhudeva for making her learn the steps of dancing in the movie. “We got to learn from Remo sir’s dancers who are such amazing teachers and all comes from his philosophy. It was amazing, it was outstanding. Prabhudheva is amazing. He did not give as such, but we got to learn from him while shooting the film. Also he plays our guru in ‘ABCD 2’. Dancing with him was a lifetime dream, which came true,”

Shedding light over her role in ‘ABCD2′, she said, “I am so excited I can’t tell you. It is the first time that I am doing a film based on dancing.”

Apart from her acting, she has also grabbed headlines for her singing capabilities. Her voice in Tere Galiyan’ (song of Ek Villain) unplugged version, stole the hearts of many audience and listeners.

The actress who is playing a role of a singer in her next film ‘Rock On 2’ informed that she is taking choral lessons from Samantha Edwards (Indian singer and vocal coach). “I am playing a singer’s role in ‘Rock On 2’, therefore I needed some guidance from an expert. Samantha is good at voice modulation,” ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013) fame actress concluded.

Kapoor will star alongside Varun Dhawan and Prabhudheva in director-choreographer Remo D’Souza’s ‘ABCD2’. The film is scheduled to release on 19th June.
