Shraddha Kapoor stops father Shakti from promoting film?

Shraddha Kapoor is definitely an actress who is a force to be reckoned with these days. As such, to have a father like Shakti Kapoor who has played a sex addict in a new film doesn’t really sit well with the young actress and it seems she’s stopped him from promoting the film, titled ‘Bhouri’.

Filmmaker Chandrapal Singh told Mumbai Mirror, “There is a collector, a shopkeeper, a manager, a businessman and a doctor. All of them lust after the women in the village. The film addressed issues of child marriage and women empowerment in a Bandit Queen-style”.

The music for ‘Bhouri’ was launched at an event on 3rd May. Shakti was not seen in attendance. Singh gave a reason for his absence, “Shakti Kapoor ab Shakti Kapoor nahin rahe, woh ab Shraddha Kapoor ke papa hain. His daughter is not comfortable with him playing a sex addict with only one thought in his mind”.

Singh also added that Shakti will not be a part of promotions coming up either, “We have an event planned at the Kumbh mela, too bad Shaktiji can’t be a part of it because he is afraid of his daughter”.

Shakti however, when contacted, said that he had been busy with another shoot, “I had to bathe after the shoot. I knew the event would be over by the time I finished. I will definitely try to be a part of the city tours”.

‘Bhouri’ is slated for a 17th June release.
