Shoojit Sircar talks about shooting with Big B for ‘Pink’

Bengali filmmaker��Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury is making his debut as director in Shoojit Sircar’s next film ‘Pink’, with Amitabh Bachchan is shooting for currently in Delhi.

Bachchan is playing a lawyer in the film. Sircar told Mumbai Mirror, “I’ve been working with Amitji for a while now, for every script he is top of my mind. This one is an out-of-the-box character and only he can do justice to it. Even though, he plays a lawyer there’s more to his character than just the usual courtroom sequences”.

He further adds, “It’s a start-to-finish schedule and we are expecting to wrap it up by April. The entire film will be shot in Delhi barring a few portions which might be in Mumbai”.

Talking about the rather unusual title, ‘Pink’, Sircar concludes, “Pink is open to several interpretations. Besides being a soft shade, it is also the colour of honesty and compassion, character traits showcased in the film”.

The film also stars Taapsee Pannu,��Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang.
