Shashank Khaitaan’s ‘Yoddha’ with Shahid Kapoor on track once restrictions lift

Back in December last year, BizAsia reported that Shahid Kapoor walked out of Shashank Khaitaan’s next movie titled ‘Yoddha.’ The star was all ready to shoot for the action film following his completion of ‘Jersey. But at the final moment, he backed out of the project. However, latest reports now say the film is very much continuing and Khaitaan will indeed make it with Kapoor once restrictions lift.

Khaitaan, who has made films like ‘Dhadak’ (2018) and ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (2014) will be testing the waters with his first out-and-out action film in ‘Yoddha’, reports Filmfare. He had planned shoots for several action sequences in various parts of the world before having to put a pause to the production due to the pandemic. But this delay might work in the director’s favour as he can now give new dates to Kapoor for filming.

Meanwhile, Kapoor is busy shooting for his digital debut with directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. in Goa. His web debut will see him in an action role. Khaitaan, with ‘Yoddha’ currently on pause, is currently shooting for the comedy ‘Mr Lele’ with Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar.
