After the abrupt end to one of the most controversial shows on Indian television, Sony Entertainment Television is bracing the return of ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ later this year.

If word has it, the show will return with Shantanu Maheshwari as the new male lead in the show. This has sparked speculation of Maheshwari breaking an agreement clause that he is said to have with Colors for the ongoing series of ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.

BollywoodLife reports that Maheshwari is being lured for the Sony TV show, which will mean him ending his Colors association since ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ last year.
