Shahid Kapoor to work with Rajkumar Santoshi

Director of hit films like ‘Ghayal’ (1990) and ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ (1994), Rajkumar Santoshi will be working with Shahid Kapoor for the first time in a film tentatively titled ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’.

The romantic comedy will be produced by Tips Films’ Ramesh Taurani. He told reporters, “We have finalised Shahid Kapoor as the hero for the film to be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. We felt he fit the bill. We discussed this project with him for about six months. The film is tentatively titled `Phata Poster Nikla Hero’.

This film is about a young boy who wants to be a superstar despite his mother`s protests.

A leading lady for the movie is yet to be confirmed.

Kapoor also has two other projects in hand – Maneesh Sharma”s next with Yash Raj Films and Prabhu Deva’s ‘Namak’.
