Shahid Kapoor says he wasn’t a wild child

Shahid Kapoor’s marriage earlier this year, came as a surprise to millions of people around the world, but Kapoor is in a much calmer space after tying the knot to Mira Rajput. He admits that he wasn’t a wild child earlier, but had the freedom to do whatever he wanted since he was independent.

To the Hindustan Times, Kapoor elaborated. He said, “I wasn’t��a wild child, but I was independent, and had the freedom to do what I wanted to do at whatever time I wanted to do it. And that sense of freedom makes you feel like, ‘Theek hai yaar, chalta hai.’ With marriage those feelings change. You (after marriage) start thinking about everything with a lot more thehrav (calmness.) There are fewer impulsive decisions. Earlier, I was often impulsive. That is not the case now.”

He also added that dad Pankaj Kapur, told him to make the ultimate call on his wedding preparations.��Kapoor said, “My��family was very involved in everything, but ultimately, he would ask me to take the final call. He believes that since I am a man now, I should take my own decisions.”

Kapoor’s latest ��release, ‘Shaandaar’ (2015) with Alia Bhatt, has��failed to reach the audience’s expectations.
