Shahid Kapoor & Rashmika Mandanna to collaborate again for ‘Badhaai Ho’ director’s next?
Before ‘Cocktail 2’ has even reached audiences, Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna have already locked in another exciting collaboration. According to reports, the actors will reunite for director Amit Sharma’s upcoming romantic comedy.
Shahid and Rashmika recently wrapped filming for ‘Cocktail 2’ alongside Kriti Sanon, and it seems the experience was so enjoyable that they decided to collaborate again. Their next project, an untitled rom-com, is expected to blend romance and humor while offering a more personal, emotional, and layered dynamic between the two stars. Sharma—known for acclaimed films such as Maidaan and Badhaai Ho—will direct the film, which will be produced by Sunir Kheterpal under The Vermilion World banner in association with Jio Studios. Filming is expected to begin around August 2026, once both actors complete their current commitments.

Meanwhile, ‘Cocktail 2’, directed by Homi Adajania and co-starring Kriti Sanon, recently wrapped up production. Sharing celebratory glimpses from the set, Adajania posted on social media, “‘Cocktail 2’ shoot wrapped. I may be biased, but this one feels a tad special. Big love to my fab crew & cast for tolerating the absurdity that I am. Love you guys.”
