‘Shaandaar’ castle features 273 rooms

'Shaandaar'

The heritage castle featured in romantic comedy, ‘Shaandaar’, located in the Yorkshire countryside, has an impressive total of 273 rooms. The majestic, heritage site was selected by director Vikas Bahl after conducting a thorough recce across five countries, travelling nearly 15,000 kilometres and visiting close to 40 castles in total to find his perfect location.

The director had a specific vision of filming the pivotal wedding sequences of the film in a castle, with particular requisites in mind. The final choice proved to be a perfect match for its scenic beauty and royal infrastructure. During the ‘Shaandaar’ crew’s stay at the castle for the shoot, they made sure to take extra precautionary measures to sustain the wellbeing of the heritage structure. On the last day of the shoot, the crew cleaned engaged in a thorough clean-up.

‘Shaandaar’ releases on 22nd October.
