Sanjay Dutt: “Ranbir is playing me & he is in quite a state”
Ranbir Kapoor is one actor who has proven he is always up for a challenge. However it seems, the challenge for his forthcoming biopic where he plays Sanjay Dutt, has turned out to be harder than he imagined. It seems there’s not much Dutt himself can do to make it any easier.
Helmed by Rajkumar Hiranai, Pinkvilla reports Dutt expressing, “Meri life kaafi interesting hogi ki Raju Hirani saab jaise director ko pasand aayi. Ranbir is playing me, aur unki haalat kafi kaharab hai. Unka mujhe roz phone aata hai. (My life should be pretty interesting given that someone like Raju Hirani liked it so much. Ranbir is playing me and he is in quite a state. He calls me every day.)”
He went on to add, “He wants to spend days and weeks with me, but I can’t spend more than half an hour with anybody. I have been trying to avoid him, it is a difficult role for him to play. He is a fine actor though.”
Recent news was a buzz that Dutt had advised Kapoor to be more macho like he was in order to get the role right. It seems Kapoor may have taken this advice, where it’s had a much larger effect. Here’s hoping it’s all worth it in the end.
