Sanjay Dutt injured on sets of ‘Bhoomi’

Omung Kumar directed ‘Bhoomi’, which will mark Sanjay Dutt’s comeback to the big screen, has faced some issues during shoot. It seems this negative stroke of luck hasn’t yet subsided as Dutt has now injured himself on the sets in Chambal, BizAsiaLive.com can confirm.

The actor was reportedly shooting a fight sequence and managed to hit his chest with his elbow. It’s thought he now has a hairline fracture in his ribcage. The film’s producer, Sandeep Singh, told Hindustan Times that the actor was indeed hurt but didn’t take the pain very seriously, “We just gave him some ice and continued to shoot as he did not reveal the level of pain he must have felt. We even had to retake the shot and we did. Later, it started paining a lot and we called a doctor. Even after the X Ray was done and we got to know that there is a hairline fracture, Sanjay came on the sets and insisted that we continue the shoot”.

Singh went on to add, “We told him that we should take a break for three days, but he didn’t agree. Finally, we had to tell him that it is an off, just to ensure he takes some rest. Tomorrow again, we have a shoot near Rajasthan border and we are apprehensive of how things will turn out”.

The Chambal shoot was meant to last seven days.
