Sandip Ssingh goes legal against Republic TV: “It’s payback time”

Filmmaker Sandip Ssingh has started legal action against Republic TV over its coverage of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

Ssingh, who was also a friend of Rajput, was among the first to find the actor’s lifeless body in his apartment on 14th June 2020. Ssingh’s friendship had been questioned numerous times by various media outlets including Republic TV.

In a social media post, Ssingh has shared the legal notice it has sent to Republic TV’s Editor-In-Chief, Arnab Goswami. He said, “It’s payback time.” He used the hashtags #Defamation and #EnoughIsEngough.

Earlier this week, a number of filmmakers including Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra and Farhan Akhtar filed for legal action against Republic TV and Times Now for allegations against various individuals in the film industry during its Rajput death coverage.
