Sandeep Dahiya quits Viacom18 Media

Viacom18 Media’s Sandeep Dahiya has quit his post as senior vice-president ��� consumer products & communications, after eight years at the company.

A company press release said that he will be leaving pursue new challenges and will continue in his role until 15th July.

During his tenure at the company, Dahiya’s consumer products business has grown many-folds, to today span across more than 50 categories, with over 60 licensees and a retail presence that spans across India. He has not only strengthened the business in conventional spaces in the kids and youth space, but also launched quite a few unconventional categories in the youth space.

Says Viacom18 Media Networks Group CEO Sudhanshu Vats, “Over the last many years Sandeep has passionately led Viacom18�۪s consumer products�۪ business and taken it to a respectable position. He�۪s laid a strong foundation in creating eco-systems for our brands outside their core business and we�۪re committed to building on this foundation even further. As he steps out, I wish Sandeep all the very best for his future endeavors.”

Adds Dahiya, “The 8 year-phase at Viacom18 has been the most fulfilling and exciting phase of my professional career and I�۪ve tremendously enjoyed working on some of the most well-known brands/properties – be it Colors, MTV, Nickelodeon, Vh1 and Comedy Central. Dahiya is rumoured to be joining the Times Group.
