Salman Khan’s Chulbul Pandey to enter Rohit Shetty’s cop universe?

There has been some speculation that Rohit Shetty could be directing a Salman Khan film next. While ‘Kick 2’ has recently been ruled out, it appears it might be ‘Dabangg 4’ that gets Shetty’s treatment, if rumours are to be believed.

As Khan has already been shooting for the third instalment in the franchise, the latest buzz suggests that Shetty could direct the fourth part, which would mean that Khan’s character Chulbul Pandey would make an entry into the filmmaker’s cop universe. A source is reported saying to Hindustan Times, “Since Salman is anyway coming up with Dabangg 3 this year, he might do the fourth instalment with Rohit. He has discussed that concept too, since Chulbul Pandey is already an iconic character. It can also become a merger between Dabangg and Rohit’s cop universe where Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh might also join in”.

The ‘Singham’ franchise sees Ajay Devgn as a cop, while last year’s ‘Simmba’ added Ranveer Singh to the mix. Akshay Kumar will also be a part of the universe in ‘Sooryavanshi’ which was already done in ‘Simmba’.
