Salman Khan reveals why he doesn’t like his character Chulbul Pandey

‘Dabangg 3’ (2019) released in cinemas yesterday, and as we know Salman Khan’s icon cop avatar Inspector Chulbul Pandey has been a huge hit with fans since the franchise started, though the leading man doesn’t think he’s that much of a great guy.

Reported on Pinkvilla, in a recent interview Khan shared Chulbul Pandey isn’t someone you’d like to meet in real life, “There are some characters which look really good onscreen but if you see a Chulbul Pandey in real life, he is an obnoxious guy. He will be the most hated guy. When you see a character like this onscreen, who is a perfect husband, is also corrupt, does wrong things but for the right reasons, in the screenplay, it looks good, but in real life, you won’t like such a personality.”

Khan also revealed how he turned the ‘dark’ script of ‘Dabangg’ into something more lighthearted by introducing romance, “Yes, Arbaaz did come to me with the subject, it was very dark at that point. There were no songs in it. Chulbul was out and out a negative guy. I changed the premise in it and got the romance, songs in.”

So far ‘Dabangg 3’ (2019) has had a successful first day at the box office.
