Salman Khan granted bail in black-buck case

Salman Khan has been granted bail by a Jodhpur sessions court.

The bail was pronounced by Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi after hearing arguments this morning for nearly an hour. Khan is expected to be released from prison around 19:00 (IST).

His five-year sentence in the 1998 black-buck poaching case, has been suspended. He was convicted on Thursday for killing two black-bucks, an endangered antelope.

Khan will next appear in court on 7th May 2018 for another hearing. He will not be able to leave India until permission from court.
