Salman Khan demands 70% profit share for ‘Race 3’?

With the exciting prospect of seeing Salman Khan enter the ‘Race’ franchise, it seems audiences will be in for a real treat. News has it that the actor has demanded a 70% share of the film’s profits in a move that will surprise many.

Asian Age reports that no actor has asked for quite this percentage before, mostly opting for 50%. Khan is simply acting in the film and will not be co-producing it. A trade analyst informs, “It is unprecedented but with news of Aamir Khan also turning distributor, all top stars now want to get the best share of the projects they are involved in.  If the film makes great money, they want to keep the best and if it fails they want to be responsible too.  It is a good sign, but the percentage is pretty high for Race 3”.

Interestingly, reports about Sidharth Malhotra being approached have also been doing the rounds. It’s now being said that he was recommended by Khan himself.

Remo D’Souza will be directing the third part and has confirmed it will go on the floors in November.
