Salim Khan is undoubtedly one of the most successful writers in Bollywood, though he has stayed away from the profession for quite some time now. He apparently is consciously avoiding writing a script for his son, Salman Khan.
According to a report by DNA, Salim is conscious of the fact that if he does write a film for his superstar son and it does well, Salman will walk away with all the credit. Alternatively, if the film fails to work, he believes he would be blamed.
While Salim’s most noted work as a writer was in collaboration with Javed Akhtar, he did go on to write more films after the split including Salman starrers ‘Patthar Ke Phool’ (1991) and ‘Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya’ (1998).
