‘Saiyaara’ breakout star Aneet Padda has reportedly signed on for her next major project—a romantic drama under the prestigious Yash Raj Films banner, to be directed by ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ filmmaker Maneesh Sharma.
The film marks Sharma’s return to the romance genre after a decade, and is set against the backdrop of Punjab. While the male lead is yet to be finalised, filming is expected to begin in the first half of 2026.

Producer Aditya Chopra is said to have been closely following Aneet Padda’s rise since her debut, and views her as the new face of romance for Gen Z audiences. According to sources, he felt she was the ideal choice for Sharma’s youthful love story.
