Sair Khan signs new ‘Coronation Street’ contract

Sair Khan has signed a new contract to stay on as Alya Nazir in ITV soap ‘Coronation Street’.

The new agreement means Khan will remain on the show for at least another year. She has been on the show for ten years.

Talking to Metro.co.uk, Khan said, “I thought I’d be here for three months!’ She explained. ‘I guess I am relatively new because there are such legends on the show, I am in the grand scheme of things. It’s madness! The great thing about this show is that it always changes, it always feels fresh and new, it always feels like there’s a new challenge.”

Khan’s character is currently involved in a gripping storyline post the acid attack on former flame, Ryan Connor.
