Many films have shown audiences glimpses of the grand Pataudi Palace belonging to Saif Ali Khan and his ancestors. However not many have been given permission to use the interior of the building, which is exactly what Khan allowed for his forthcoming web series ‘Tandav’.
With the trailer showing the actor donning the lead role as a politician, walking out into the balcony to great his fellow members and followers, Khan revealed how he made an exception for this shoot to take place inside the palace. “I don’t mind giving it for shoots sometimes because it remains unused 340 days of the year,” Mid-Day reports the actor stating.
Her went on to say, “These days, film crews have become responsible and look after the venues, but (the idea of a shoot) still makes me nervous. Usually, I am more comfortable if they are filming around the exterior of the palace. But for Tandav, I made an exception (by shooting inside).”
“I think it is the palace that lends us the royal look. Anyone standing there would look royal,” he said.
Also starring Dimpla Kapadia, Sunil Grover and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub , ‘Tandav’ is set to release on Amazon Prime on 15th January.
