Saif Ali Khan & Jacqueline Fernandez join ‘Aankhen 2’ cast?

Rumours surrounding the cast of ‘Aankhen 2’ have been doing the rounds for months, if not years. With Amitabh Bachchan the only star to be confirmed for the multi-starrer thriller, it has now emerged that Saif Ali Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez have reportedly joined the Anees Bazmee film.

DNA India reports that the makers of the film are looking at five principal characters, with Bazmee luring Khan to join the film. A source told the publication, “Both of them had been planning to collaborate for a few years. The filmmaker was looking to cast someone for the second male lead and approached Saif with the script. The Nawab of Pataudi will essay a role similar to what Akshay Kumar had portrayed in the first part. Saif has been a part of successful thrillers such as the Race franchise. So, he jumped at this offer.”

The source added, “The producers needed someone younger than Amitji, but still senior enough in the industry. They wanted an actor in their late 40s and Saif was the perfect fit.”
