Sabras Radio snaps up exclusive interview with Lata Mangeshkar

Sabras Radio, the Midland’s most popular Asian radio station has bagged one of the biggest exclusive interviews of all time with legendary songstress Lata Mangeshkar.

In keeping with its policy of dishing out quality music, the Leicester-based Sabras Radio has secured a rare one to one chat with the huge singer dubbed as the “nightingale of India”.

It has been many years since Lata Mangeshkar was last heard on radio and is very selective over media interviews. Lata will be talking to Sabras Radio’s own senior presenter Faruk Razaq this coming Thursday (23rd March).

In the one-hour special show, listeners will be treated to a chat about her early days including details about starting off in acting and the transition to becoming a singer. She also talks about her brotherly love for actor Dilip Kumar. Professionally, Lata will also be heard talking about her old film projects and more recently in Rang De Basanti. In light hearted moments, she also reveals her favourite English meal and why she is not a big Holi player.

The exclusive interview will air this Thursday (23rd March) at 10:00am – 11:00am. It will be repeated at a later date, with interview highlights also being uploaded on the station’s website in the coming days.

Sabras Radio is available on 1260AM (Midlands), 558AM (London), DAB digital radio and online at www.sabrasradio.com .
