Sabras Radio marks Mukesh’s 40th death anniversary

The Midlands’ most popular Asian radio station, Sabras Radio has culminated its special week dedicated to legendary singer, Mukesh.

It was 40 years ago on Saturday 27th August that the singer had passed away. Sabras Radio in a tie-up with TLC Events, played a Mukesh song every hour for a week under the brand ‘Mukesh Memory’. The special week, which started on Monday 22nd August and ended on Sunday 28th August, also included an exclusive interview with Mukesh’s son, Nitin Mukesh.

Nitin in a heart-to-heart interview with Sabras Radio’s presenter, Sandhya Dave spoke about his father’s memories and the time of his demise in the US back in 1976. The moving interview was played out on Sabras Radio’s ‘Golden Memories’ show on Sunday 28th August, as a part of a three-hour Mukesh special.

Incidentally, Nitin Mukesh will be paying tribute to his father with a special concert in Leicester, this November.
