Sabras Radio announces festive special shows

The Midlands’ popular Asian station, Sabras Radio has announced a slew of shows to mark the festive period.

The station has fused a blend of entertainment, religious and best of 2014 charts to ensure it delivers high-end programming during the ten-day holiday.

Starting this week, Akshay will roll-out this year’s biggest Bhangra and Brit Asian tracks in a special end-of-year countdown on his ‘Desi Mash-Up’ show. It will air on Saturday 20th December at 18:00.

On Christmas Day (25th December), a Christmas special religious show will air at 08:00 hosted by Javed and Riffat from a local Asian Christian group. The show talks about the religious aspect of Christmas, mixed with carols. Also on Christmas Day, Meera will take the Mid-Morning show with a special treat for everyone preparing Christmas dinner and those who are not. At 15:00, Raj Baddhan will front the biggest ever Indian television poll on UK Asian radio as he countdowns the Most Loved Television Character of 2014. The poll was launched in November and the results are in with the special show scheduled between 15:00 – 18:00. Post 18:00, Sabras Radio has carefully selected the biggest Bollywood songs around for listeners to chill to on Christmas evening.

On Boxing Day, Sam will run through the Bollywood Chart Of The Year with a look at the most popular Bollywood songs of 2014. The show will air on Friday 26th December at 15:00.

On New Years Eve, Sabras Radio will end 2014 with a bang! Sam will countdown the final hours of 2014 and welcome 2015 with a live four-hour show from 22:00.
