SAB TV axes ‘Papad Pol’ over falling viewing figures

After much deliberation whether it should be axed, SAB TV has confirmed it will be bidding adieu to it’s primetime show ‘Papad Pol – Shahbuddin Rathod ki Rangeen Duniya’.

The comedy has been under the scanner for several weeks and even though it was given an extension earlier in the year to improve it’s ratings, it was unable to do so.

According to TellyBuzz, the show is going through its last few schedules and will wrap it’s shoot before 10th of August. The last episode will be telecast on 12th August.

The source further adds that ‘Papad Pol’ will be replaced with another show from the same production house, Optymystix. The show will have a north Indian backdrop, similar to that of ‘Baa Bahu Aur Baby’, auditions are ongoing.
