Ronnie Lahiri “Honoured to take Irrfan’s legacy forward” as Babil Khan onboard for Shoojit Sircar’s next

Following in his late father’s footsteps, Irrfan Khan’s son, Babil Khan is all set to work with director, Shoojit Sircar for his next project.

Cited on Hindustan Times, film producer Ronnie Lahiri shared the news on Instagram with a few photos of the trio together and wrote, “Honoured to take forward your legacy Irrfan sir. Worked with a legend like you, And now Babil. If this is not Providence, what is? @babil.i.k @shoojitsircar @filmsrisingsun.”

Khan also shared the same sentiment on his Instagram account, “Honoured to work with you legends (aye it’s a shame we didn’t take a picture together @zaynmarie).”

Sircar and the ‘Angrezi medium’ (2020) actor had worked together for ‘Piku’ (2015) which also featured Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.

The film will be backed by Lahiri and Sheel Kumar’s Rising Sun Films Production.

In other news, Khan is due to make his acting debut in Anvitaa Dutt upcoming Netflix production ‘Qala’ along with Tripti Dimri and Swastika Mukherjee in pivotal roles.
