Revealed: When Imtiaz Ali came between Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt

Alia Bhatt has recently received great praised for her role in Imtiaz Ali’s road movie, ‘Highway’ (2014). However, BizAsia has learnt that when Ranbir Kapoor recommended Bhatt for a role in his forthcoming film which will star him, Ali objected.

According to Hindustan Times, Ali revealed, “Ranbir has always believed that Alia has great potential as an actor. So he had suggested her name and asked if she fits the role but she is too young for the part”.

Bhatt and Kapoor share an open mutual admiration of each other. Kapoor called Bhatt to congratulate her for her performance in ‘Highway’ and Bhatt has always been very forward in saying that he is and always will be her biggest crush.
