Reason why Ranbir Kapoor rejected ‘Gully Boy’

With the trailer already being the talk of the town, it seems Ranveer Singh is set to hit the mark again with his career. However, news has it that along with Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechlin, director Zoya Akhtar had also approached Ranbir Kapoor to play a part in ‘Gully Boy’, which he reportedly turned down.

According to DNA India, Kapoor at the time was not keen on sharing the screen space with Singh as a lead. Especially with him having big project s like ‘Sanju’ (2018) in the pipeline at the time.

However, this doesn’t mean Kapoor is throwing the idea of working with Singh altogether. He was recently asked if he would share the screen space with Singh, to who have he replied he’d be delighted providing the script offered is strong enough.

Looks like some filmmakers are going to have to get creative if they want to see these two light up the theatres at the same time.
