Rashami returns as Tapasya in Colors’ ‘Uttaran’

Popular actress Rashami Desai who quit her role of Tapasya in ‘Uttaran’ on Colors eight months ago, has confirmed that is returning to the daily drama.

Talking to Times Of India about her reason to quit at the time, Desai said it was mainly down to the storyline leap and the aged character she was expected to play. She said, “I quit the show when it was going through a leap because I didn’t want to play mother to a grown-up. I have never played mother on screen before and I wasn’t comfortable with the idea, so I opted out. Now, when I was approached, I decided to take it up because I was told that the focus in the show will shift to Iccha and Tapasya.”

Desai was recently seen on hit dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’.
