Ranveer Singh likes to keep things simple

His high energy and positive attitude is something that has taken a while for some to warm to. However, with Ranveer Singh now being labelled as one of Bollywood’s best actors, the question still remains of how he manages to stay so upbeat all the time.

During an interview withStardust, the actor was asked about his intense attitude. “I just do the simple things. I۪ve always been like this. I don۪t allow anything negative to enter my being and try to be positive at all times. I believe that we are in kalyug. The world has really gone to the dogs. I۪m particularly predisposed to being sensitive to the agonies of existence. For me, it۪s always a constant endeavour, I۪ve made it an automatic habit to see the good in everything, in people, to see the merit in films, and to look upon everything as positive and spread positivity. Therefore, the praise too. What you give is what you get. So if I spread positivity, it۪s all going to come back to me. Insecurity is one of those negative feelings that I just don۪t allow to enter. And inhibitions I don۪t have, never had. That۪s just the way I am,” Singh explained.

Being a part of a very competitive industry, the actor also revealedhow he frees himself from being insecure, as he says, “The reason I don۪t have any insecurity, touchwood, is because I have a very stable foundation in life. My family has always provided for me, they have always been a super-solid support system, in my career, and in my personal life. And that gives me a tremendous amount of security. I feel empowered to take on the world, so to speak, because I have them. It stems from there. Even movies that a lot of people don۪t like, I try and see them for what they are and find merit in them. That works for me. All of this adds up to one thing; it allows me to be a happy person. If I۪m happy, it will spread happiness and will come right back to me. It۪s a positive cycle. ”

However, Singh does have moments in his life where he needs time alone, adding, “The only time I want to lie low is when I۪m immersed in my work. There are days when I go home and go straight to my room. I just greet my mother who opens the door when I come back from work. I don۪t talk to anyone. I wake up in the morning, come out of my room and go straight out of the house.”

With so much going on for Singh, the media were also prompt to ask about the actor’s alleged beau Deepika Padukone. However, Singh didn’t seem ready to spill the beans when asked about the relationship. “I don۪t find myself answerable. It۪s about the two of us. For the sake of anyone else, I don۪t want to tag or term the relationship for it to be convenient to understand for some people. My relationship with her, whatever it may be, is between her and me. I don۪t have to justify it to anyone. It falls into personal space. I۪d like to keep it that way,” he expressed.

Still receivinggreat appreciation for his role as Peshwa Bajirao in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015), Singh doesn’t have much time to rest. His next venture, ‘Befikre’, will see him being directed by Aditya Chopra.
