Rani Mukerji’s comeback film based on “an underdog”

More details on Rani Mukerji’s comeback film ‘Hichki’ have been revealed. The film, directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma is a story of an underdog.

The Indian Express reported Sharma revealing, “It’s a women centric film. It is an underdog story. Rani is the protagonist, there will be other characters. But there is more to experience in it”.

Sharma who is a huge Mukerji fan added, “I am a huge fan of Rani Mukerji. I was studying in the US and I hardly had money to pay my bills but I got a DVD of Saathiya for 27 dollars…I wanted to see her and the songs. I still have it”.

The shooting of the film recently started and will mark the actress’ return to screen since 2014.
