Ranbir Kapoor speaks about Sanjay Dutt biopic

Quite some time ago, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani had announced plans to make a film on the life of actor Sanjay Dutt, for which he had already signed Ranbir Kapoor to play Dutt’s role. ��Though the film is still in the pre-production stage, actor Kapoor understands the challenge it will be for him.

Speaking to��Absolute India, Kapoor said, “There’s still time for the movie. ��Raju sir is still working on it. ��Apart from doing a Rajkumar Hirani film, I think what is more challenging is to celebrate Sanjay Dutt’s life on screen. ��The best part is that I know Sanjay sir on a personal level. ��Sanjay Dutt is one of the most loved stars in Bollywood so it is quite a responsibility to portray him on screen. ��I will surely do��my part as an actor… Through the film, we are showing Sanjay Dutt as a regular man. ��We want to make people believe that their favourite stars are like them too.”

Hirani’s last release, ‘PK’ (2014), broke box office records so expectations form the Dutt biopic are naturally��high. ��Dutt is currently serving a jail term but is allegedly very much involved with the biopic.
