Ranbir Kapoor says birthdays make him sad

Ranbir Kapoor may have just celebrated his 33rd birthday yesterday but the actor says that the occasion makes him sad and would rather work.

Kapoor is currently in London shooting for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. He told Hindustan Times, ���It�۪s always great to be at work on your birthday. I don�۪t believe in birthday celebrations. It�۪s a day that makes me sad. Though you are supposed to feel special, birthdays have never met my expectations.”

The actor has been working in films for eight years but still does not feel he is a star. He added, ���For the last seven years, people have been telling me that I am the next superstar. But I am not one. When I become a superstar, then I will talk about it.”

Kapoor is expected to return to Mumbai next month.
