Ranbir Kapoor not replacing Arshad Warsi as Circuit

Having gained critical and public acclaim for his role as Sanjay Dutt in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’, rumours were all up in a frenzy stating that the filmmaker had decided to replace Arshad Warsi as Circuit with Kapoor in the third installment of his Munnabhai franchise. However, it has now been revealed that this will not be the case and Warsi will always remain as the people’s favourite Circuit.

“Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will always be Munna Bhai and Circuit. Some writer somewhere got excited about the idea of having Hirani and Ranbir work together again after Sanju, and he decided, on their behalf, that they would be doing Munna Bhai together. The truth is, there is no script ready for the next Munna Bhai film yet. Writer Abhijat Joshi has been asked to work on it, but he’s yet to crack a subject,” Asian Age reports a source stating.

Going on to add, the source revealed Hirani does have plans to work with Kapoor again on another project, “But not Munna Bhai. That will be with Dutt and Warsi only,” he confirmed.
