Ranbir-Alia’s ‘Dragon’ gets budget cut?

Karan Johar was heard talking about ‘Dragon’ at the recent film festival in Melbourne. He spoke about the film being an ambitious one for his production house, Dharma Productions. However, now comes the news that the film’s budget has apparently been slashed.

Deccan Chronicle reports that Johar gave director Ayan Mukerji an ultimatum. A source revealed, “Karan gave Ayan a choice. Either take a budget cut or shut down the film. It hasn’t been a good phase for Ranbir, and the last thing Karan wants on his hands is another Jagga Jasoos”.

The film, which is to star Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan, was to be made with a Rs 120 crore budget but it seems Johar has since had a change of heart. Mukerji is thought to be leaving out the Hollywood technician who would have been working on the project.
